Collectable Toy Series: Sideline Mates Wind-Up Series

Sideline Mates is a series of windup toys, in anticipation of the Fifa World Cup in Russia 2018, this collectible toy series is a tribute to the World Cup. The approach to this project was to attract them and bring together a community that shares interest in soccer and cheer for their country on the sidelines. Illustrations of soccer fan characters were used to give fun and whimsical characteristics to each country. Bright colour combinations that associate with the country’s flags. The packaging also includes the country’s statistics of their performance in the World Cup over the years. When the package is opened, a see-through shield-shaped window presents the toys, where the shield design representing protection of their country’s pride in soccer.
